Cinthia Pimentel, also known as Cin, is a Black Latinx Bronx-born audio producer, multidisciplinary artist, and storyteller. Her practice spans writing, clay, collage, audio making, zines, community art, and teaching. She is one of the co-hosts and the senior producer of the award-winning podcast Bag Ladiez — which dismantles the notion that “politics is not for me” and creates a space to learn about the impact of harm within various communities, and how we can create change within ourselves first in order to change the lives of others.
Cinthia has worked on many podcast series, including Natal, In Those Genes, and the Poetry Foundation’s VS, among others. Her work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Teen Vogue, Shondaland, Autostraddle, Remezcla, and Marie Claire. She founded Ombie Productions, a creative production company that uses elements of horror and experimental art to tell stories and explore theories focused on Afro-futurism, science fiction, and feminism. She is currently working on an interactive audio series called Aombie and an interactive exhibit about Black women’s work experience.
